OUR MISSION
"EVERY MEANS EVERY"
Our goal is to see every coach and every athlete in a growing relationship with Jesus. And we mean every! This will be done through the power of the chaplain.
OUR GOAL
POWER OF THE CHAPLAIN
We want to put the right people in the right spaces to touch every coach and athlete in the Athletic Department. Chaplains are FCA staff who are in the trenches and in the environments (practices, sidelines, dugouts, coaches’ offices, the Jaqua, etc.) where coaches and athletes are. As Jesus modeled, chaplains get to be a “Person of Peace” and offer leadership and encouragement in sport, faith and life.

Coaches and athletes have limited time so it is vital to have chaplains available to meet them in their spaces.
$3 MILLION LEGACY ENDOWMENT
This amount will spur the ministry on now and in perpetuity. All funds raised will stay with FCA at the University of Oregon. Your partnership supports great leaders. More chaplains will be able to walk alongside coaches and athletes and support them during their time at the University of Oregon and beyond.
-
This will go towards funding 4 full-time staff positions and 2 new chaplains.
-
We plan to draw 5% each year.
-
The fund is held by FCA and managed by Blue Trust.

WHY NOW
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few,” Matthew 9:37
That is the current state of the Oregon Athletic Department! With transfer portals, NIL deals, identity crises and more, we have a deep sense of urgency to add to our team right now and multiply the impact we can have in the Athletic Department. In the last 22 years of FCA at Oregon, we’ve never had the open doors and level of trust that we have right now. There are currently 18 varsity teams ready for chaplains, yet only three full-time FCA chaplains. With the trust that FCA has earned with coaches and staff, there is huge Kingdom impact to be had in Oregon athletics.
Watch below to hear from some of our Chaplains as to why this role is so impactful.
IMPACT OF UO FCA
The UO FCA Staff team and its Leadership Board of 8 faithful men and women have been fervently praying for this endowment. As a team, we believe this will bless Oregon athletes and coaches now and for many years to come.
